"The Librarian of Auschwitz"

By Antonio Iturbe

Dita Kraus is only thirteen when the war began in Poland. Dita and her parents are sent to Auschwitz not long after the Nazi invasion. This is the story of what life was like within the concentration camps. The book follows more than just Dita's story. Based on the true story of the librarian of Auschwitz with some fictional parts.

Going into this I knew it was going to be a difficult read. We have all been taught about this war in school but reading about it in this format is a whole different world of emotions. It was truly a heartbreaking and gut wrenching story. I think they should have kids read this book while studying the subject. It's a book everyone should read. I have nothing else to say other than READ IT.

Five out of five stars.
