"Truth Or Dare" By Jacqueline Green

Caitlin and Tenley have been friends since childhood, inseparable until Tenley's family moves. Now in High School, Tenley is making a move back to her hometown with her mom, new stepdad, and step brother. Throwing a welcome home party for herself, Tenley quickly realizes how much everything and everyone has changed. Caitlin and Tenley always played Truth or Dare as kids, what better game to play on her first night back? It was the perfect night, until someone decides to continue the game after the party. Leaving secret notes with the girls. They must tell their most intimate truths or suffer life-ending dares. Who is behind this twisted game and why are they the targets? They must target each other or suffer the consequences.

This book REALLY disappointed me. It was lacking the action, twists, and turns you'd expect from a story based on a screwed up version of Truth Or Dare. The "truths" were pretty good, uncovering secrets that kept the story interesting. The "dares" were sooo lame. I wanted some serious, real, life threatening dares. I did enjoy the different characters, each with an interesting story. It was just lacking suspense. The hidden identity of the game master was fun to try and piece together, until they were reveled. It felt like Green played eenie-meenie-miney-mo, picking a random character to be the culprit. This read was a major let down. Two out of five stars.
