"Whisper Island" By Carissa Ann Lynch

Riley, Sam, Scarlett, and Mia are friends attending a prestige's art university. Despite being close, they each share their own secrets, and need an escape from everyday life. When Sam's brother finds the perfect escape, a friend's home on the secluded Whisper Island, the girls jump on the opportunity. Each girl thought this would be the perfect escape, almost too perfect. They quickly discover they should have asked more questions. One by one they began to die, not in a mysterious way, in a cruel violent way, butchered by a psychopath with a knife. Could it be tied to one of the girls secrets? Who would want every one of them dead? Only one will survive.

Despite having a strong guess of who the killer was halfway through, I still really enjoyed this book. Although I was confident of the villain I couldn't understand why it was them and that's where Lynch shined. The puzzle pieces all came together perfectly. The pace of the read was perfect. There were just the right amount of twists and turns to keep you intrigued. As you all know I am a very big cretic and seldom blow away. I wasn't "blown away" but I was still happy with the story overall. I would definitely recommend to fans of Natasha Preston. Four out of five stars.
