"Before I Let Go" By L.B. Anne
Aria (a new college student) is given a second chance at life. A mysterious owl is stalking her, she discovers later that it's her guardian angel. Given a chance to go back to when she was fourteen and stop her own suicide. Reliving the bullying and grief but viewing from a different perspective. She learns why she must rethink her choices, why her life has purpose, and why it's worth it to live.
Before I decided to give "Before I Let Go" a shot, I did some research, really itching to read something depressing. It was compared to Thirteen Reasons Why which is a big reason I decided to read it but I was disappointed. This book was more fantasy than it was reality, making it much different than Thirteen Reasons Why. It was definitely not depressing but it still tugged at your heart. It was more sad than depressing. Don't get me wrong, it was a great story, definitely relatable, just not what I was looking for. Two out of five stars.
