"The Chill" By Scott Carson
A supernatural story about a small town not far from New York City. Chilewaukee reservoir was a thriving small town fighting for its rights. Sadly, they were wiped out when an enemy broke through their damn and drowned the entire city including its residence. Fast forward a century, the town now submerged in water, is referred to as, The Chill, and it's back for revenge. Their enemies thought drowning the town would silence the people but instead they unleashed a beast. The spirits of Chilewaukee never sleep and they are coming.
This book isn't a scary supernatural story, it's suspenseful. The beginning was a little confusing but towards the middle of the story it begins to make sense. Once the story took off it didn't stop, keeping me wanting more and more. I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading another story by Carson. Four out of five stars.
