"People Like Us" By Dana Mele

Kay Donovan's life has finally turned around. Leaving her traumatic past behind her, she has been given a fresh start. Kay transferred to a private school where she quickly gains popularity. Part of a tightknit group of girls, star of the soccer team, and perfect boyfriend, everything was perfect. That all changed the night of the Halloween dance party. Kay and her girlfriends were having a little private party down by the lake when they noticed the body of a dead girl. Her wrists sliced so deep it seemed so obvious this was a suicide. Unfortunately nothing is Kay's life has been that simple and this random death has started bringing her past skeletons to the surface.

This book was definitely not a page turner but it was still engaging. It had a bit of a "deadly" scavenger hunt throughout which made it kind of fun. I was super disappointed with the unveiling of the investigation into the girls suicide BUT Kay's "skeletons" came out at the very end which added a nice twist at the end.

Four out of five stars.
