"Hopeless" By Colleen Hoover
Seventeen-year-old Sky has lived a very sheltered life. Adopted at a young age by a woman who believes that all technology is evil. So sheltered she is homeschooled with only one friend, the girl next door. It took a lot of convincing but Sky's mom agrees to let her spend her senior year at the pubic high school. Immediately she is bullied but is too stubborn to tell her mom, proving her years of being sheltered were the right move. Sky meets a boy, Dean Holder, under strange circumstances. Their unstable relationship only fuels the bullies. Although Dean is constantly hot and cold there is something about him that keeps Sky interested. As their relationship grows Sky starts having strange memories, memories she doesn't think are real, memories of her childhood. What is it about Dean Holder? And why is she just now remembering her past?
Hopeless is the second Colleen Hoover book I've read. She writing is captivating from the beginning. It seems almost all her books are mystery romance but don't let that deter you, because it would me. Her books hook you from chapter one to the last page. They aren't cheesy and they aren't predictable. I have become a huge fan after just reading two of her books! I HIGHLY recommend checking her out!
Five out of five stars!
